General Returns/Exchanges
We want you to love your purchase! If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied, most new, unused products in their original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery. Please include your packing slip with your return.
Please note: shipping costs are non-refundable, and return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. Thank you for your understanding.
HOW TO BEGIN A RETURN
To return an item, email CustomerCare@MelaninHaircare.com with your order details and reason for the return. Once determined to be eligible, we will provide a return authorization and instructions on how to return your item. Make sure your item is returned in its original, unused condition with the packing slip included.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU RETURN AN ITEM
Once we receive and inspect your return, and determine that the product is new, unused, and in its original packaging and condition, a refund will be issued to the original form of payment on file. You will then be notified via email that your refund has been processed.
- Returns typically take up to 14 business days to process once received at our facility.
- Depending on your bank or payment method, it may take up to 7 additional business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
IF YOUR REFUND IS LATE OR MISSING
If your refund has not appeared after a reasonable period, please contact CustomerCare@MelaninHaircare.com for assistance.
EXCHANGING AN ITEM
Exchanges are available for items of equal value and are subject to product availability. Items must follow the same return rules: new, unused, in original packaging, and returned within 14 days. Please email CustomerCare@MelaninHaircare.com with your order details and reason for the exchange, and we’ll provide further assistance.
UNAUTHORIZED OR UNACCEPTABLE RETURNS
All returns must be authorized by The Melanin Haircare Customer Care Team. Any return that:
- Was not authorized by Melanin Haircare Customer Care, or
- Is not in its original, unused condition,
Will not be accepted, refunded, exchanged, or returned to the sender.
To avoid this, always contact CustomerCare@MelaninHaircare.com for a return authorization before sending any items back. Returns sent without authorization or in unacceptable condition will not be processed.
ITEMS PURCHASED FROM OTHER RETAILERS
We can only process returns for purchases made directly through www.MelaninHaircare.com and www.MelaninHaircareEvents.com If you purchased a Melanin Haircare product from a third-party retail partner, please contact the retailer where you purchased the product, and they will assist you with their specific return or exchange instructions.
Bulk Bundle Returns
HOW DO I RETURN MY ORDER?
We want you to be happy with your purchase! We hope you love what you ordered, but if not and you wish to return your bulk bundle, please contact CustomerCare@MelaninHaircare.com to obtain a return authorization and further instructions.
*Please kindly note that we are unable to offer partial returns on bulk bundles. If you wish to make a return, the entire bundle must be sent back with all products accounted for, in their original, new, unused, and unopened condition. Shipping costs are non-refundable, and return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. Thank you for your understanding.
RETURNS POLICY
We accept returns of most new, unused products in their original condition (unopened) within 14 days of delivery. To complete your return, your item must be returned within 14 days of delivery, unused and in the same condition as it was received. It must also be in the original packaging and include a copy of the packing slip.

WHAT IS THE RETURNS PROCESS?
Once your return is received, inspected, and determined to be in its original new, unused condition, we will contact you to notify you that your return has been processed and a refund will be issued to your original form of payment. Typically, it can take up to 14 business days for returns to be processed once it’s received at our facility. Additionally, it can take up to 7 business days for a refund to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution and method of payment.
LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS
If a reasonable period of time has passed and your refund still has not been posted to your bank account, please contact CustomerCare@MelaninHaircare.com for further instruction.
EXCHANGES
Because each bulk bundle is thoughtfully curated, we are unable to offer exchanges at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
CAN I RETURN AN ITEM PURCHASED THROUGH ANOTHER RETAILER?
Melanin Haircare is unable to authorize any returns for purchases made through a third-party retailer. Please contact the retail location where you purchased your product(s) from for a return or exchange.
Order Cancellation Requests
Orders that have not yet been processed can be canceled.
If your order has already been processed and a shipping confirmation email has been sent, we are unable to cancel it. In this case, you may contact UPS directly to have the shipment returned to sender. Otherwise, you will need to return the shipment to us in order to receive a refund for the products purchased to the original form of payment. Please refer to our Return Policy for instructions and guidelines.
Shipping costs are non-refundable, and return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer.

ORDER MODIFICATION REQUESTS
Shipping Address
Orders can be modified if they have not yet been processed.
Orders being shipped to a different state or region cannot be modified. In this case, the order will need to be canceled and a new order placed. Once an order has been processed, it is the customer’s responsibility to contact UPS to update the shipping address, request that the shipment be held at a pickup location, or have the shipment returned to sender.

Order Items
We cannot add or remove items from an order once it has been placed. If an order with the wrong items has already been processed or shipped, you will need to either place a new order for the correct items or return the unwanted items. Please refer to our Return Policy for instructions.

Billing and Email Addresses
Billing addresses cannot be modified, but email addresses associated with an order can be updated if needed.
